The is an annual event in which we honor New Mexicans who have made outstanding contributions in the public interest. Three awards are given—the Alice King Public Service Award, the Patty Jennings Citizen Advocacy Award, and the Amy Biehl Youth Spirit Award. The awards are named for three advocates and activists who worked to make New Mexico and the world a better place.
The first was in 2009, although we have been giving the Amy Biehl Youth Spirit Award since Amy's death in 1993.
